Terms of Service

1. The service

We provide free online point-cloud viewing, cropping, subsampling and conversion without an account. Files are uploaded to our server for processing; the browser displays a sampled preview. The service accepts supported PLY point clouds, LAS, LAZ and E57, and writes PLY or XYZ. Current limits include 100 MB per file, 5,000,000 points, 64 E57 scans and a two-hour session. Queue, file-count and rate limits also apply. Check the tool’s displayed limits before submitting a file.

2. Your files and permission to process them

You retain your rights in your uploaded files and results. We do not claim ownership of them. You must have the rights and permissions needed to upload and process the material, including any personal or confidential information it contains.

Submitting a file gives us permission to receive, temporarily store and process it and make the results available to your private session, solely to provide the requested service as described in File privacy. This permission does not authorize selling or publicly sharing your files, or using them to train models.

3. Acceptable use

• Do not violate applicable law or another person’s rights.
• Do not upload malicious files intended to compromise the service.
• Do not bypass limits or access controls, overload the service, or disrupt other users.
• Do not attempt to access another user’s files, session or token without authorization.

We may reject processing requests or restrict access when reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, capacity management or a legal obligation.

4. Check results and keep originals

A completed job means a result was produced, not that its accuracy, completeness or suitability has been certified. Cropping and subsampling remove points. Conversion can discard metadata, scan structure and unsupported attributes; color precision and numerical rounding can change. Review the reported properties, warnings, coordinate units and downloaded result before relying on it.

The preview is limited to sampled points. Measurements are not survey-grade, and this website does not perform registration or coordinate-system reprojection. Keep the original files and verify important results in the application or professional workflow where they will be used.

5. Temporary storage and access

Sessions and their uploaded files, working clouds and results expire two hours after session creation. Processing does not extend this deadline. You can delete the session earlier; access is revoked immediately and file removal is handled by the worker. Cleanup resumes after a worker interruption.

A private token stored in the browser tab controls access. Keep it private. Closing the tab can lose access but does not itself delete server files. Download anything you need before expiry or deletion. This service is not an archive or backup service. See File privacy for the detailed handling of files and technical records.

6. Availability and responsibility

We do not promise uninterrupted availability, a particular processing time or error-free results. Maintenance, capacity limits and technical failures may prevent processing or retrieval. Features and limits may change; review the information shown before each new submission.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without additional warranties of accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or removes mandatory consumer rights.

7. Open-source software

The software used by this site is subject to its own licenses. These terms do not replace those licenses or restrict the rights they grant. See Third-party software for the relevant notices and About for the relationship between this website and the upstream project.

8. Changes and contact

We may revise these terms as the service changes and will publish the revised version with an updated date. Revised terms apply to subsequent submissions and do not retroactively change the terms for earlier submissions.
